This is the first semester of physics for scientists/engineers. This course covers motion in multiple dimensions, rotational motion, work and energy concepts, static equilibrium, fluids, escalations, wave motion and sound and is calculus based. Attendance is expected, and is 10% of the grade.

Giancoli, Physics for Scientists and Engineers, Third Edition

Grading:

Attendance 10%

Homework 10%

Midterm Exam 40 %

Final Exam 40%

No late homework accepted and no make up of exams without prior permission.
